He is set to meet with the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday to discuss contract negotiations. Remember, Bernard Berrian signed immediately with the Vikings after his one and only meeting.

Marvin Harrison’s tenure with the Indianapolis Colts has come to an ugly close, but would he fit in well with a team in the AFC West? ESPN.com’s Bill Williamson brought this up in his blog, so I’ll venture into the same topic.

4. Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City already has Dwayne Bowe as a solid number one receiver. After him, they have a slew of young talent at the receiver position. Second year receivers Kevin Robinson and Will Franklin figure to see a significant amount of playing time next season, along with surprise receiver Mark Bradley. The addition of Harrison would likely mean he would transition to the slot receiver, and on a losing team that might not sound too intriguing.

3. Oakland Raiders

Harrison would automatically become either the one or two receiver in Oakland. Javon Walker is likely to be cut, Ashley Lelie is a free agent, and while Johnnie Lee Higgins and Chaz Schilens have flashed promise, but leave a lot to be desired. If Harrison is smart, he’ll stay away from the Raiders. If he wants to play two or three more years for a good sum of money, that’s where he will wind up.

2. Denver Broncos

It has been rumored that Denver is going to be in the market for a number three caliber receiver. Brandon Stokley has been somewhat injury prone over the last few seasons, and Chad Jackson is unproven. As much as I would love to see the legendary Harrison in blue and orange, it’s probably not going to happen.

1. San Diego Chargers

San Diego has arguably one of the best receiver duos in the NFL in Vincent Jackson and Chris Chambers. Buster Davis has been a bust so far, but has showed flashes of the first round potential that the Chargers invested such a high pick on him for. Overall, I think San Diego is the least likely destination for the veteran receiver.

Ultimately, it seems Harrison’s most likely destination is not in the AFC West. What makes the most sense is that he reunites with his hometown and former college quarterback Donovan McNabb up in Philadelphia.
