Broncos Should Consider Signing DE/OLB Travis LaBoy

It is well documented that the Broncos have troubles defensively, and there is a player available that could help improve that area of their team.  Recently released from the Arizona Cardinals, Travis LaBoy could provide some much needed depth at hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker.  LaBoy is a former second round pick of the Tennessee Titans who played his college ball at Hawaii.  He could be a perfect fit for the Broncos’ new 3-4 defensive alignment.

Broncos Release RB Selvin Young

The Denver Broncos have released three year veteran running back Selvin Young, according to the Denver Post.  This was a long-expected rumor of this happening with Denver’s crowded backfield.  Look for him to sign in Houston, as they have brought in many former Broncos.

Broncos Sign LB Nick Greisen

nick-greisenThe Denver Broncos have signed free agent linebacker Nick Greisen to a contract, according to the Denver Post.   Greisen has made 33 starts in his seven year career, and had stints with the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and most recently, the Baltimore Ravens.

The 6′1″ 250 pound linebacker will add great depth on special teams as well as at MLB, where he will share time with D.J. Williams and Andra Davis.

Broncos Sign Two More College Free Agent Linebackers

braxton-kelleyThe Denver Broncos have signed undrafted free agent linebackers Braxton Kelley of Kentucky, and Jeff Schweiger of San Jose State.

Kelley, a senior, led the SEC in tackles, and will reunite with former Kentucky teammate Wesley Woodyard in Denver.

Schweiger becomes the third hybrid linebacker to join the Broncos via free agency.

Additionally, the Broncos have released TE Adam Bergen, and WR Jayson Foster.

Broncos Add Three More College Free Agents

The Broncos added three more college free agents to the list of 12 that was earlier reported, according to the Denver Post.  Florida RB Kestahn Moore, East Carolina OT Stanley Bryant, and Kentucky State OT Marcus Gordon.

The Denver Broncos have agreed to contracts with three rookie free agents in CB Domonique Johnson (Jackson State), DE Everette Pedescleaux (Northern Iowa), and WR Lucas Taylor (Tennessee).  Head Coach Josh McDaniels said that the Broncos would likely be adding 15-18 rookie free agents.
